Horton Man Jailed in Florida; Accused of Online Death Threats Against Trump, others

(MSC Radio)--A Horton, Kansas, man is jailed without bond in Florida, accused of making online death threats against President Donald Trump and several other public figures.

KWCH-TV reports 29-year-old Korby Strube faces 23 counts of making written or electronic threats to kill or cause bodily harm.

The station says an affidavit alleges Strube posted threats against President Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, podcaster Joe Rogan and conservative commentator Ben Shapiro.

WPBF-TV reports the Florida investigation began with threats against Shapiro, a Palm Beach County resident. The posts allegedly referenced Shapiro’s Jewish faith and included a countdown to Yom Kippur.

WPBF says the 23 threat counts include allegations of prejudice. Court records also list two counts involving the use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.

The affidavit says Secret Service agents and Brown County authorities interviewed Strube at his home in August while investigating alleged threats against President Trump and the Obamas. Investigators say Strube admitted making posts on three social media accounts.

Strube was arrested Saturday and is being held without bond in the Palm Beach County Jail.
