(KNZA)--Construction is set to begin Monday, September 21, weather permitting, on a Brown County bridge replacement project.
The project is located on 170th Street, just east of Falcon Road, about two miles southwest of Powhattan.
The Brown County Road and Bridge Department says the area will be closed to traffic during construction, which is expected to continue through February.
B and B Bridge Company of St. Paul, Kansas, was awarded the nearly 767-thousand-dollar project, which is expected to take 120 working days.
The project is funded in part by more than one million dollars in grant funding from the Kansas Department of Transportation’s Kansas Local Bridge Improvement Program.
