The grant will be used to cover up to half the cost to replace a 48-year-old generator that is currently inside the fire station. A new generator, which will be installed outside, will allow the department to have much needed additional space for storage.
If as some point a new fire station is built, this new unit will have the capacity to provide for the departments future demands and can be relocated.
