If you are planning to vote in the election, you are urged to check your voter registration status to make certain you are registered at the correct address to cast your ballot.
Voters can check online at www.votercheck.necvr.ne.gov or by contacting your local county clerk's office.
In Richardson County, voter registrations will be accepted until Friday, October 23 at 6 p.m. The deadline for any voter registration form other than in person in Friday, October, 16.
Voters may also register online through the state website.
In Richardson County, early voting will begin in the Richardson County Clerks Office on Monday, October 5 and can be done during regular business hours from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Early voting applications are always available to request that your ballot be mailed to you if you are unable to vote at your regular polling place on election day. October 23 is the last day to request a ballot to be mailed to voters and an application form can be found in last weeks editions of the Falls City Journal and the Humboldt Standard. You can also get a form at the Richardson County website, www.richardsoncountyne.gov.
All-Mail voting precincts in Richardson County, are Arago/Barada, Salem, East Muddy and Grant/Nemaha.
Voters residing in these precincts will receive their ballots in the mail on or after October 13.
Those who may have recently moved within the Villages of Dawson, Shubert, Salem or Barada or the surrounding areas within the townships name, need to make sure they are registered to vote or have changed your voter registration address so you ballot can be mailed to your address.
