(KLZA)-- The Johnson County Central Public Schools Board of Education

will be hosting two informational meetings concerning the school building bond election.

The first meeting will be Wednesday, evening, September 30 at 7 at the Johnson County Central Middle School Gym in Cook.

The second meeting is scheduled for Monday evening, October 5 at 7 in the Johnson County Central High School Gym in Tecumseh.

The special board meetings are intended to provide accurate information to the school district stakeholders concerning the November 3, School Bond Election. Board members will be present to answer questions.
All residents of the Johnson County Central School District are invited and encouraged to attend one of these events.

The proposal is to build a PreK-8th grade school on a 52 acres site north of the existing football field in Tecumseh.

The anticipated cost of the facility is $31.8 million dollars. Due to anticipated inflation, the total cost will not exceed $35 million.

In addition to the classrooms and office space, gymnasium space, a performing arts stage and a wrestling room are being considered to be included in the project.
