(KNZA)--A 19-year-old Hiawatha man has pleaded no contest to several felony sex offenses.

Brown County Attorney Kevin Hill says Connor Wenger entered the plea last week in Brown County District Court to charges of electronic solicitation of a child under 14, aggravated internet trading in child pornography, and sexual exploitation of a child.

Wenger was originally charged with six felony sex offenses.

Hill says the plea agreement calls for a recommended sentence of 240 months in prison without probation. Wenger will also be subject to lifetime sex offender registration and lifetime post-release supervision.

Sentencing is set for October 19th.

Wenger was arrested last October following an investigation by the Hiawatha Police Department and its digital forensics unit.

The investigation began following a referral from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Kansas Internet Crimes Against Children task force.

Hill says the investigation involved the examination of thousands of images, digital search warrants and the seizure of multiple digital devices from Wenger's home.
