(KNZA)---A St. Joseph, Missouri man and former school district teacher is jailed after allegedly enticing an underage child to perform sexual acts.
Fifty-eight-year-old Duane Parrott was arrested Monday by St. Joseph Police on suspicion of grooming or enticing a minor.
According to a probable cause statement cited by KQ2-TV, Parrott communicated online with someone who told him they were 16.
Police say Parrott continued sexually explicit conversations and later met the person at an agreed-upon location, intending to take them to his home.
Parrott reportedly admitted he was “going down the wrong path again” and acknowledged a similar incident several years ago.
He remains in the Buchanan County Jail.
