(KAIR)--A driver was hospitalized and later jailed following a single-vehicle crash Thursday evening in northern Atchison County.
In a release, Atchison County Sheriff Jack Laurie says deputies responded around 8:00 to K-7 Highway near 314th Road, with the resulting investigation showing that Jack Artman, Junior was northbound in a 2009 Ford Mustang when the car crossed the southbound lane, left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
Following the investigation, Artman, of Atchison, was arrested for DUI, driving with a suspended license, operating a vehicle without a required ignition interlock device, interference, possession of a controlled substance, transporting an open container and having no liability insurance.
Atchison County EMS transported Artman to Amberwell Atchison for hospital treatment of injuries.
Once released from the hospital, Artman was booked into the Atchison County Jail.
