The cost for the project will be $114,195.
The Council also approved the annual request to block off Lane Street from 19th Street to 26th Street on Halloween, October 31 for trick or treating.
City Administrator Gary Jorn updated the Council on the tree trimming project that is ongoing in the city utilizing grant funds to pay for the project. So far Arbormasters has trimmed 597 trees, removed 29 diseased or dying trees and replaced them, all on city property including parks. The work will be completed by later this fall or by March of 2027. The grant funds must be expended by the end of 2027.
The appointment of Kristi Simon to the Blue Rivers Area Agency on Aging Board was approved.
