(KAIR)--The Kickapoo Tribal Council joined other tribal leaders for a meeting focused on sovereignty, treaty rights and opportunities for collaboration.
According to a social media post from the Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas, council members attended the Four Tribes Meeting hosted by the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska.
Tribal leaders discussed shared concerns and other issues affecting their nations.
The Kickapoo Tribe says the meetings provide an opportunity to strengthen government-to-government relationships, exchange information and work together on matters affecting tribal communities and future generations.
The tribe says the gathering also supports continued efforts to protect the rights and interests of tribal nations.
