(KNZA)-- About 175 area students will get a firsthand look at manufacturing careers during the fifth annual Sabetha Manufacturing Day Wednesday.
The Sabetha Chamber of Commerce and 11 local manufacturers are hosting the event, which includes tours of manufacturing facilities and opportunities to meet industry employees.
Students from Sabetha, Hiawatha, Holton, Horton, Nemaha Central and other area schools are expected to participate.
Representatives from Highland Community College, Kansas State, Pittsburg State and Washburn Tech will also discuss education and training opportunities.
Organizers say the event will highlight careers in manufacturing, engineering, technology, business and skilled trades, including opportunities available right here in northeast Kansas.
