Richardson County Board meets

(KLZA)--Richardson County Commissioners approved a purchase order for a 2027 Ford Police Interceptor Utility Eco Boost vehicle through a state bid contract in an amount of $49,477 from Anderson Ford when they met October 7.

Delivery of the vehicle is expected to be in January or February of 2027.

Commissioners also conducted the quarterly jail inspection during the meeting and found the facility to be in good order.

Highway Superintendent Steve Darveau Jr. met with the Board.  Bids received for rock hauling were discussed.  Further review will be done during the Boards October 14 meeting.

Darveau also reported that a representative form VanDorn Construction will attend the meeting to discuss funds that are being withheld from the Dawson Northwest project due to the date that construction was completed.  The contract specified the completion date was to have been earlier than the work was finished.
