Operation Christmas Child

(KLZA)--November 16 – 23 is the National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts.

Volunteers are preparing now for the collection of gift-filled shoeboxes for children, including many who are suffering from war, poverty, disease and disaster.

The goal this year is to collect enough gift boxes to reach 12.8 million children.

If you are interested in preparing a shoebox, there is a step-by-step guide on “How to Pack a Shoebox” webpage.

The project partners with local churches around the globe to deliver the shoeboxes. Participants can donate $10 per shoebox gift online through “Follow Your Box” and receive a tracking label to discover its destination.

Operation Christmas Child has been collecting and delivering the gift-filled shoeboxes to children since 1993.
