Falls City School Board meets

(KLZA)--The Falls City Board of  Education heard and update on portions of the roof at Falls City High School when they met Oct. 12.

Superintendent Dr. Andrew Offner noted that following a roofing project over the high school gymnasium and wrestling room there were a couple of areas that were leaking.  Officials looked to determine if the large amount of rainfall was the culprit of if there were other problems.   A couple of seems were filled.

provided an update to the Board.

A leaky window in that area is also being addressed.

Superintendent Offner also presented information about transferring land from one school district to another after an area resident reached out for information on such transfers.  There are some plots of land where taxes are paid to other districts while the property is completely surrounded by land in District 56.

Dr. Offner said to make land transfers possible,  there are a number of steps that would need to occur including trading land with another school district.

No land transfers are imminent.
