Offner said he looked into the details after being approached about the topic. There are some plots of land taxed by other school districts that are totally surrounded by property assigned to District 56.
Offner was asked how the process worked if someone wanted to transfer their land to School District 56.
While it is possible to do such transfers in Nebraska, Offner said it is a detailed process that could include swapping of land between districts.
No such transfers are in the works, it was just an item offered up as information to the Board.
