(KAIR)--A late Wednesday morning gathering led to a social media statement, less than four hours before its scheduled start, announcing that a quorum of the Atchison County Commission may be present "for a luncheon honoring Ty Masterson," adding that while "County business may be discussed...no official action will be taken."

The Wednesday morning statement was issued by Atchison County, on behalf of the Commission, around 7:25, announcing the gathering from 11:00 until 1:00, at 121 North 5th Street in Atchison.
