(KAIR)--A Monday morning Jackson County traffic stop led to the arrest of a 35-year-old Emporia woman after authorities discovered a vehicle she owned was allegedly not listed on her Kansas offender registration.
That’s according to a release issued Wednesday by Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse, who says a deputy stopped a Nissan Pathfinder around 9:24 Monday morning, on the U.S. Highway 75 on-ramp from 150th Road.
The vehicle's owner, Tori Jo Granado, was identified as a front-seat passenger.
Morse, in the release, says the deputy, prior to the stop, had previously identified Granado as a registered offender , “while conducting proactive law enforcement activities in a parking lot near Mayetta.”
During the traffic stop, the deputy determined that the vehicle had been purchased August 31 but was allegedly not listed on Granado's offender registration, as required.
Granado was arrested on two counts of alleged violation of offender registration requirements and transported to the Jackson County Jail.
