(KNZA)--The city of Highland and Highland Community College are considering a property transfer that would include the city ballfield, concession stand and adjoining park.
The Highland City Council will discuss the proposal at its November 4th meeting.
Under the proposed agreement, the public would continue to have access to the property, and the city would continue hosting its Summer Recreation League teams on the field and providing a concession stand for games.
The transfer would allow Highland Community College to make significant improvements to the ballfield and concession stand. The college currently intends for the adjoining park to remain a park.
The council meeting begins at 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 4th, in the City Hall Council Chambers. Both the city and college are encouraging residents to attend and participate in the discussion.
