(KAIR)--Two arrests were made in separate incidents investigated by Atchison police over the weekend, one involving shots fired from a pellet gun at a vehicle, and the other involving a pickup truck reported stolen in Kansas City, Kansas.
According to a release from Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson, officers responded to a residence in the 700 block of Mound Street Friday morning at 11:00, following a report of someone shooting at a vehicle.
Police determined that 41-year-old Russell Sullivan Jr., of Atchison, came out of the residence, pointed what appeared to be a handgun at an occupant of a vehicle and fired several shots at the vehicle.
The weapon was determined to be a pellet gun and was seized by police. No injuries were reported.
Sullivan was arrested at the scene for aggravated assault and taken to the Atchison County Jail.
His bond is set at $10,000.

The second, unrelated arrest came after officers responded around midnight Sunday night to a vacant residence in the 1000 block of Forest Avenue, where a man had reportedly been sitting in a parked vehicle for more than five hours.
Police determined the 2004 Toyota pickup had been reported stolen earlier that day in Kansas City, Kansas.
The occupant, 44-year-old Timothy Leger, of Kansas City, Kansas, was arrested at the scene for theft involving the stolen vehicle and taken to the Atchison County Jail.
Leger’s bond is set at $10,000.
