(KLZA)-- Voters in the Auburn School District approved a bond issue of up to $22,900,000 for additions, renovations and improvements to the existing buildings, property and facilities Tuesday by a vote of 1,105 to 939.

 

The bonds will be used for classrooms at the Calvert Elementary School, a new Middle School entryway addition and improvements; a new physical education gymnasium at the high school, and renovation of the current high school gymnasium to a multi-purpose facility to include performing arts and other activities.

 

Auburn voters elected a new Mayor. Stephanie Holmes defeated incumbent Chris Erickson 825 – 478.

In the Ward I Council race incumbent Shawn Clark defeated Logan Merz 210 – 175. In the Ward III City Council race incumbent Nathan Seitz retained his seat with 250 votes to 172 for Dawna Hall.

 

Cody Bradley was elected to the Auburn Airport Authority by a vote of 634-516 over Kendall Neiman.
