(KNZA)--An Ozawkie man was killed Thursday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Jefferson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 5:30 on K-92, about one mile west of Oskaloosa.

According to the Patrol report, an eastbound motorized mini bike was struck from behind by an eastbound Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

The mini bike's driver, identified as 27-year-old Joshua Chisamore of Ozawkie, suffered fatal injuries.

The Patrol says Chisamore was not wearing a helmet or any other safety equipment at the time of the crash.

The Jeep was driven by 44-year-old Molly Erin Harmon of Oskaloosa. She was wearing her seat belt and reported no apparent injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Kansas Highway Patrol.
