Missouri Class I State Track Results

The Mound City Girls finished in the top 10 in the Missouri Class I State Track Meet in Jefferson City this past weekend placing 8th with 25 points.
    South Holt senior Kylynn Sisk had the best individual weekend bringing home gold medals in both the 100 and 200 meters.  The performance by Sisk is very impressive on a couple of fronts.  First off he broke his pelvis a year ago in a pole vaulting accident.  Sisk also defeated the returning state champ, Eli Mullock of Worth County in the finals of each race.
    In other girls results St. Joe Christian finished fourth at state with 34 points,  Stanberry was 10th with 23, Nodaway-Holt was 21st with 10 points, Craig-Fairfax scored 8 to finish in the top 20 and Tarkio scored 2 points.
    On the boys side Worth County was 6th with 30 points,  Stanberry 10th with 27, South Holt was 12th with 20,  Rock Port tied for 13th with 18 points and Mound City scored 5 points.
    For the girls Nodaway-Holt Sophomore Megan Rosenbohm was second in the triple jump and 7th in the 400 meters.
    Rebecca Geib, a senior for CFX was 2nd in the high jump;  Alex Phillips of Mound City was 5th in the pole vault and Tarkio’s Shelbie White was 7th in that event.
    Tori Ingram on Mound City brought home the silver medal in both the 100 meter and 300 meter hurdle races;  the Mound City 4 x 100 relay team of Jessica Kronenwett,  Grace Newcomb, Tori Ingram and Whisper Parrish were 7th.     
    Jordan Pankau placed 6th for Mound City in the 800.
    For the boys Rock Port Sophomore Eric Duncan brings home four state track medals.  3rd in the high jump clearing 6’8”;  7th in the long jump;  5th in the triple jump and 3rd in the 100 meter.
    Lucas Schawang of Mound City placed 5th in the pole vault.
