Again being held one day before the big game, the Community Animal Protection Society, of Sabetha, will host their second annual soup contest, appropriately named as the quote: “Souper Bowl” this Saturday.
CAPS member Mary Ryan says the event will serve as fundraiser for the organization's ongoing quest of building an animal shelter in the Sabetha community(Play Audio 14 secs)
Ryan says entry, and participation in the soup contest, is simple(Play Audio 22 secs)
Other than working towards the goal of building the animal shelter, which will be used to house dogs and cats, CAPS has, for sometime, been rescuing wild cats in need(Play Audio 35 secs)
Ryan hopes to see a strong turnout at Saturday's event, expected to feature a wide variety of soups, in order to help rescue Sabetha's unwanted animal population.
