Louis E. Schuneman, 66, of Horton, KS, passed away at his home on Thursday, November 14, 2024.
He was born in Axtell, KS, on February 22, 1958, the son of Marjorie and Willis Schuneman. He worked as a truck driver, construction, and fabricator throughout his life. He was a big fan of Nascar and hobbies included fishing and hunting. Louis was married to Mary Blanton in 1982 and was divorced in 1991. He then later married Caroline Schuneman in 1996 until 2006.
Survivors include his daughter, Crystal (Brandon) Whetstine of Highland, sisters, Louise Harris of Horton and LaRae (Wayne) Murren of Lawrence, stepchildren, Ashley Scrithchfield and Jessie Jeffers of Romeoville, Illinois, grandchildren, Austin, Riley, Jayden, Bella, Derek, Camran, Isabel, and Peyton, nieces, Christy and Sondra, nephews, Brian, Brandon, Jason, Shane and Shawn, Justin, and Curtis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marjorie and Willis Schuneman, sisters, Shirley Brown and Janet Banaka, stepson, Shawn Kranz and nephews, Travis Larabee and Kelly Brown.
The family will greet friends on Friday, November 22, 2024 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas from 5 to 6:30 P.M. Inurnment will be at the Horton City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Louis Schuneman memorial fund and may be sent in care of the mortuary
