Ella Mae (Dunn-Green) Holding, 98, of Valley Falls, KS, died December 7, 2025, at her home with family by her side. She was born on April 25, 1927, in Topeka, KS, the daughter of William Albert and Edith Lillian (Morris) Dunn. At 16 months of age, she was lovingly adopted by Charles and Christena Green.
Ella attended Bolton School in Valley Falls and Coffeyville Technical Campus Dietary Assistant program.
Before her retirement in 1994, Martha worked at Davol Manufacturing assembling medical devices, Stokley-VanCamp in Lawrence for 17 years and Altamont Retirement Home in Altamont, KS as a dietary cook.
She attended the Valley Falls United Methodist Church and was a member of VFW Auxiliary 3084 in Valley Falls.     
On December 25, 1977, she married Virgil Lee Holding, who preceded her in death in 1998. She was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Steven Newman and William Worden; 1 daughter, Sherry Wolf; 2 sisters, Maye Lynn and Mary Gibler; 3 brothers, Willard, William and Leo Dunn.
 Survivors include her children, Leonard Newman II of Perry, KS, John Worden (Tina) of Tonganoxie, KS, Sandra Morris (Howard) of Perry, KS, Bonnie Schneider of Winchester, KS and Neola Bowdler of Valley Falls, KS; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is assisting the family.
