Edgar “Ed” Bredemeier, age 90 of Stella, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026, at the Nebraska Masonic Home in Plattsmouth, NE.

 

Survivors include his wife Carolyn; children and spouses Karen Brown of Parkville, MO, Sharon and David Meacham of Parkville, MO, Mike and Chris Bredemeier of Stella, and Linda and Tim Shanks of Syracuse; grandchildren Rachel Greathouse (Stephen), Elizabeth Dillman (Joseph), Logan and Conner Bredemeier, Jordan (fiancé Andrew Smith), Suzanna, Robert, and Liam Shanks; sisters-in-law Jan Bredemeier of DuBois, NE, Merrie Edwards of Lincoln; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

The funeral service will be on Saturday, May 2, 2:00 p.m. at the Stella Community Church in Stella. Burial will follow in the Prairie Union Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with family greeting friends 5:00 to 7:00.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Prairie Union Cemetery, Stella Community Church, or Nebraska Masonic Home.

 

Services are entrusted to Hemmingsen Funeral Home of Auburn.
