David Keith Wheeler, age 67 of Stella, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Nemaha County Hospital in Auburn.

 

Survivors include his wife Jana; children Nikki (Danny) and Joshua both of Alabama; grandchildren Landon (Ceci) Davis, Logan Davis, Ethan Savage; mother Joan Wheeler; sisters Pamela (Vern) Mayfield, Lisa (Gary) Juilfs; Jana’s children Dustin (Mariana) Anderson, Dru Anderson, Cassidy (Billy) Lotter; grandchildren Chaelee, Brynlee, Quinn, and Everly Lotter, Cole and Kyler Anderson; sister-in-law Beth (Deon) Griffin; brother-in-law Jim (Amy) Land, Lila (Lance) Land; mother-in-law Betty Land; aunt Mary Behrends; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews all who loved Uncle David; other relatives and friends.

 

A funeral service will be Tuesday, June 16, 10:30 a.m. at Stella Community Church in Stella. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with family greeting friends 5:00 to 7:00. Burial will follow in Bedford Cemetery at Howe with graveside military honors provided by Shubert American Legion Post #222 and U.S. Navy Honors Detail.
