Dian Black, 75, of Rushville, Missouri, died, Tuesday, June 23, 2026, with her family by her side.
Cremation care has been provided by the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home and no services are planned at this time.
Dian was born March 5, 1951, in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of Lloyd and Bonnie (Andre) Nitz. She is a graduate of Atchison High School, class of 1969.
She and Terry Black were married on October 24, 1970, at the First Christian Church in Atchison and have shared over fifty-five years of marriage.
Dian began her professional career after high school at Atchison Casting, working in the office as an assistant. She would then spend the next sixteen years as a stay-at-home mother raising her son. Dian was then a teller at the Bank of Atchison until her retirement.
Dian was an avid reader and enjoyed her stacks of books. She was an amazing mother and cherished her grandchildren. She was always there to support her grandchildren at the countless events that they participated in.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Black, Rushville, MO, son, Shea (Yvonne) Black, Rushville, MO, three grandchildren, McKenzie Black, Hayden Black, Kyleigh Black, two sisters, Judy Larson, Tammy Nitz-Matthews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother Lloyd Dean Nitz.
