Todd Alan Just, 64, of Pawnee City, Nebraska, was born on February 28, 1962, in Manhattan, Kansas to M.L. “Jerry” and Susie (Bell) Just. In 1963, he was baptized in New Cambria, Kansas and later confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Pawnee City, Nebraska in 1976. In 2025, Todd completed a confession of faith and became a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Shawnee, Kansas.
Todd graduated from Pawnee City Public High School in the class of 1980. Growing up he enjoyed all things outdoors. He especially loved boating, and water & snow skiing with family and friends. His love of outdoors carried over into his work, starting on the end of a shovel for LJ Webb of Geneva, Nebraska. Todd became a supervisor within a year, running his own crew. Later in life, Todd worked for O’Donnell and Sons of Kansas City as a large equipment supervisor. During his time at O’Donnell’s, Todd supervised 19 different projects at once. The largest of those projects being the “new” Cabela’s retail site in northwest Kansas City. He loved what he did and took immense pride in the quality of his work.
Todd passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, in Falls City, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of sixty-four years, three months, twenty days. He is preceded in death by his dad Dr. ML Just, nephew/Godson Phillip Doerr, uncle/Godfather Eddie Bell, and many other aunts, uncles, and several friends- all whom welcome him into his Father’s Eternal Home.
Todd is survived by his mom Susie Just of Pawnee City, NE; special friend Susan Horton and “That Damn Cat” of Overland Park, KS; his sister Tracy Doerr and husband Doc of Falls City, NE; nephews/Godsons: Justin Doerr of Phoenix, AZ; Peyton Doerr (Kaylee and Ila Mae Jeralds) of Falls City, NE; aunt/Godmother Dixie Bell and Aunt Carole Batts, and several cousins and many friends.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the Pawnee City Cemetery in Pawnee City, Nebraska, with his cousin Chris Bell officiating.
Memorials contributions may be given to the Pawnee City Public School Education Foundation specifically to Pawnee City FFA Chapter.
