Candace K. Sheeley, 68, of Effingham, Kansas, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026, at her home surrounded by friends and family.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 31, 2026, at Becker Dyer Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison, Kansas, with Kirk Pemberton officiating the service. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to memorial service. Burial will follow the service at Round Mound Cemetery, Cummings, Kansas. Candace was born on May 31, 1958, in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of Bobby Dean and Grace E. (Newman) Sheeley. She worked as an architect until 2007 when she retired and moved back to the farm. She was a member of New Covenant United Methodist Church in Nortonville. She enjoyed farming, cooking, reading, traveling, and being in charge. She was on the FSA (Farm Service Agency) Board and the Pantry of Hope Board.

Survivors include her sister Rachel Sheeley and her brother Collin Sheeley. She was preceded in death by her parents.
