It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lance Eric Clark, who passed away on August 1, 2026, at the age of 55.

Lance was born on February 20, 1971, in Hiawatha, Kansas. He spent the majority of his life at Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, where he built lasting friendships and countless memories enjoying the outdoors and the lake he loved. He then returned to his hometown of Hiawatha, Kansas, where he remained until his passing.

Lance was known for his quick wit, hardworking spirit, adventurous nature, and the joy he brought to those around him. He had a way of making people laugh with his goofy personality and never missed an opportunity to have fun. He loved discovering and sharing funny, rare songs that would catch people off guard and make them laugh. Whether he was out on the water boating, ice fishing, shooting a game of pool, sitting in the sunshine with a nice cold beer, or simply spending time with those he loved, Lance embraced life with enthusiasm and a smile.

Above all else, Lance treasured his family. His greatest joy in recent years was being “Grandpa” to his beloved grandchildren, Gottlieb and Lorelei Heinz. Time spent playing with them brought him immeasurable happiness and created memories that will be cherished forever.

Lance also had many dear friends throughout his life, and he cherished each of them. He valued the friendships he built over the years, and his loyalty, humor, and generous heart made him someone people were proud to call a friend.

Lance is survived by his loving wife, Robyn Clark; his father, Ellis Clark; his daughter, Haley Heinz; his son, Lance Clark; his sister, Lisa Clark; his brother, Larry Clark, and sister-in-law, Darlene Clark; his cherished grandchildren, Gottlieb and Lorelei Heinz; as well as his nieces and nephew, Adam and Heather Sudduth, Ashley Sudduth, Melody Gnagi, and Gerianne Gnagi.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Nancy Clark; Grandma and Grandpa Clark; and Grandma and Grandpa Feldman.

Lance’s legacy is one of laughter, love, hard work, and adventure. Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that his stories, his sense of humor, and the love he shared with his family and friends will live on in all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by everyone whose life he touched.

A celebration of Lance’s life is planned for 2 p.m., August 15, 2026, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha. The family will meet with friends one hour prior to services. Friends may sign the register book during office hours Thursday and Friday prior to service.
