Gail Elaine Clary, 77, of Troy, KS passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2026. Born June 23, 1949, in Troy, KS to Alvin and Esther Kostman. She was one of eight children. Gail married Gary “Hobert” Clary on July 1, 1967.
Gail was a lifelong resident of Troy and worked as a secretary for the Troy School District for 34 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Troy. Gail loved spending time with her family and friends. She also loved to travel, work in her garden sew and read.
She was preceded in death by her father Alvin Kostman, her mother Esther Weis, stepfather Leo “Pete” Weis, and sister Linda Donahue.
She is survived by her husband, Gary “Hobert” Clary; her children, Pam (Philip) Miller, Danny (Tara) Clary and Chad (Kari) Clary; her grandchildren, Courtney (Gabe) Owens, Ashley (Shane) Hart, Shane Miller, Erin (Will) Nash, Luke Clary, Mason (Lauren) McCall, Jayden (Lexy) McCall, Ryker Clary, and Haiden “Castle” Clary; and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Cherry (Garry) Schacht, Marian (Eddie) Smith, and Janet Kostman; and her brothers, Steve (Pam) Kostman, Carl (Vicky) Kostman, and Rick (Sandy) Kostman.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, including her extended family, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on through her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Two Timbers Alternative Living in Highland, KS, and Amberwell Health Hospice Care for the compassionate care, kindness, and support they provided to Gail and her family. Their dedication and gentle care brought comfort to Gail and those who loved her during her final days.
Celebration of Life: Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM, First Baptist Church, Troy, with visitation to begin at 10:00 A.M. one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, Troy, KS.
Inurnment will be held at a later date.
