Vicki Elaine (Drake) Pelletier, 71, of Parker, Colorado, formally of Humboldt, Nebraska was born on November 25, 1954, in Humboldt, Nebraska to Wayne and Ruth (Schacht) Drake. She attended school in Humboldt and graduated from Humboldt High School with the class of 1973. After graduation, Vicki attended Patricia Stevens College of Fashion Design & Business in Omaha, Nebraska where she graduated and received her associate degree in 1974. She worked at Hovland Swanson in Lincoln as a buyer until enlisting in the U.S. Army. Vicki’s military career spanned 22 years until her honorable discharge. While in the military, Vicki was stationed in many places all over the world. Her last station was in Columbia, Maryland with the NSA. She then was employed in the private sector and with that company she moved to Parker, Colorado. Vicki loved watching sports of any type whether high school, college or pro sports on TV and going to many concerts with friends in Colorado.
Vicki passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, in Parker, Colorado having reached the earthy age of seventy-one years, eight months, and thirteen days. She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Drake; and grandparents Elmer & Viola Schacht, Lale & Blanche Drake,
Vicki is survived by her mother Ruth Drake of Humboldt; brothers: Leslie Drake and wife Shari & Shari Drake of Humboldt, Royce Drake & special friend Shelly Meyer of Lincoln, NE; nephews: William Drake & fiancée Jade Hill of Humboldt, Carter Drake & Trey Drake of Falls City, NE; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the United Methodist Church in Humboldt, Nebraska with Pastor Harun Gatobu officiating. A livestream broadcast of Vicki’s service can be viewed on the Humboldt United Methodist Church Facebook page for those not able to attend.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026, at the Wherry Mortuary, 207 N. Nemaha Street in Humboldt, Nebraska. Family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment will immediately follow services at the Humboldt Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Harvey-Mann Legion Post #269, Nebraska Army Honor Guard, and live buglers Suzanne (Stalder) Lambrecht and Matilyn Stalder.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family’s choice with a later designation.
