Rita Adams, 82, of Lincoln, NE, passed away August 25, 2026 at Lincoln, NE. She was born November 23, 1943 at Rulo, NE, to Jonas Dean and Esther (Schulenberg) Feighner

She married Roy Adams on October 27, 1964 at Falls City, NE

Rita was raised at Rulo and graduated from Reserve High School in 1962. She worked with her mother at Camp Rulo before being married. When married the couple established their home on a farm in Robinson, KS, later moving to Falls City and to North Platte, NE in 1973 and to Lincoln in 1980 where she has lived since. She was a homemaker her entire life. She was a good cook and a great singer. She enjoyed her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren

Rita is survived by her husband, Roy of Lincoln, children, Lori Thompson and her husband Dwight of Salem, NE, Crystal Dye and her husband Rod of North Platte, NE, Russell and his wife Pat of Lincoln, Carol Adams of Lincoln, sister, Betty Kuker of Falls City, sisters-in-law, Marsha, Delores and Sherry Feighner, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Herbert, Ronald, Virgil, Tom and Robert, sisters, Diana in infancy, Luella, Barbara and Connie.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 31, 2026 from 5-6:00 PM. Cremation will follow and inurnment will be in Steele Cemetery at a later date.

Viewing will begin on Saturday afternoon at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
