Richardson County Sheriff Rick Hardesty reported to the County Board on August 26th that Cadence Cox and Logan Walker recently graduated from the Nebraska Law Enforcement Academy and are now on full-time duty with the Sheriff's Department.

 

Sheriff Hardesty also noted that Sheriff's office staff members had made presentations to students at the Humboldt-Table Rock – Steinauer School concerning topics including bullying and inappropriate use of various apps and tools on cell phones.

 

The Sheriff reported receiving notification that the Department of Homeland Security will be releasing funds to Richardson County from items and monies confiscated from a drug case from several years ago totaling approximately $13,000.

 

As of August 26, the Richardson County Law Enforcement Center was housing 17 inmates with 5 of them being held for other counties.
