Kandy Manis, 60, of Marysville, KS died Wednesday evening, August 26, 2026 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka. She has been in ill health the past several months.
Kandy was born at Marion, Indiana, October 21, 1965, the daughter of Donald Ingram, Sr. and C Christina Couchman Ingram. She will be remembered for all the love and caring she had. She loved to spend time with family and friends. She specially loved her grandkids and great-grandkids and dogs. She would have all her kid’s friends call her Mom and she would cherish every moment of it. To her they all were her kids! She loved to party in her younger day and play quarter and card and drink with family and friends. She like to go camping and traveling. She enjoyed her Pepsi and Lay’s potato chips and cigarettes. Kandy would enjoy when we would have our family get-together’s and would loved to see everyone that would show up.
She is survived by her three kids: Josh (Tori) Ingram of Marysville, KS, Kristina (Lance) Snyder of Fairview, KS, Shane Ingram, Sr., of El Dorado, KS, 13 grandkids: Cecilia (Jeromy) Ingram of Marysville, Joshy (Misty) Ingram of Maryville, MO, Ruth Ingram of Marysville, Ronald Ingram of Holton, KS, Terry Snyder, Harley Snyder, Robert Snyder, all of White Cloud, KS, Alexander Ingram and Elaine Welch, both of Fairview, KS, Izzabella (Credeur) Ingram, DaKoda (Credeur) Ingram, Shane (Credeur) Ingram, all of of Omaha, NE, Jade Ingram; 3 great-grandkids: Rayelynn South, Damon South, and Lakyn South. Two brothers also survive: Bill (Linda) Ingram of St. Joseph, MO, Jame (Nike) Henderson of Gas City, IN; a sister Dona (Don) Burns of Savannah, MO; with several nieces, nephews and favorite sister in law Bonita Ingram.
Kandy is preceded n death by both parents, her companion Vern Cothran, sept Dad Dickie Adkins, brothers: Ralph Ingram, Jimmie Ingram, Don Ingram, Ronald Ingram, Delbert Ingram, Bob Zuchowski, sisters: Pat Smith and ruth Pratt Ingram.
A celebration of Kandy’s life is planned for 12 noon September 12, 2026, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Highland. Jerry Petering will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Leona.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday to sign the register book and after 9 a.m. Saturday. The family will meet with friends one hour prior to services
