Michael Douglas Johnson, 71, of Falls City, NE, passed away September 7, 2026 at Falls City. He was born Jun 18, 1955 to Morris and Alice (Garvin) Johnson at Bakersfield, CA.
Mike graduated high school and then enlisted in the United States Air Force on August 26, 1974 at Los Angeles, CA. He served as an air cargo specialist and was honorably discharged March 31, 1976 at Norton Air Force Base, CA. He served during Vietnam in Guam.
After his discharged he worked as a cook and then worked as a mental health profession and was a counselor at Kern County Mental Health Hospital and then worked at the Salvation Army for recovering addicts and then went to work for Home Depot. He married Rose Martinez on August 31, 2012 at Indian Cave State Park and they have lived in Falls City since.
Mike is survived by is wife, Rose of Falls City, daughter, Sarah Kreitzer of Falls City, grandchildren, Vickie Ann Kreitzer of Falls City, Conner L. Kreitzer of Wichita, KS, step-grandson, Garriden Brandt of Horton, KS. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Tucker, grandparents, Ruby and Ray Garvin and a sister, Jacci Ricardo.
It was Mike’s wish to be cremated and there will be no service held.
