Carl Samuel Slaughter, 87, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Corby Place, St. Joseph, Missouri.
Carl was born on November 15, 1938, in St. Joseph, Missouri to George S. and Elizabeth (Grable) Slaughter.
He was a member of the U.S. Army. Carl worked for United Auto workers GM in Fairfax, Missouri and was of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, children, Ralph Slaughter, Deanna Perkins and Cheryl Brown, son-in-law, Kevin Boatright, granddaughter, April Higgins, sisters, Georgia Mae Schiltz and Ruth Walker and brother, Jack Slaughter.
Carl married Barbara Wood on September 7, 1968, in Kansas City, Kansas. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors, children, Brian Slaughter (Sherry), Barbara Black (Michael), Wanda Boatright, George Slaughter (Debbie Polcino) and Georgia Mundinger (Jeff).
16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Brother, James Edward Slaughter.
Numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service: 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 5, 2026.
At the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home, Wathena, Kansas.
Visitation: 4-6 P.M. Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the funeral home.
Burial: Mount Olive Cemetery, Troy, Kansas.
