Wanda A. Horton, 84, of Troy, Kansas passed away September 29, 2026, at Wathena Nursing & Healthcare in Wathena, Kansas.
Wanda was born on August 11, 1942, in Corning, Kansas to Willis and Elizabeth (Rethman) Walters.
Wanda graduated from Corning High School in 1960. She owned and operated Wanda’s Tavern and worked for Flair Fold in Hiawatha, Kansas. She had a passion for bingo.
Wanda married Floyd David Horton on December 31, 1962, in Seneca, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2022. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Dorothy Deters, Joyce Fiala, Edith Broxterman, Barb Warford and Janet Valentine.
Survivors: children, Steven Horton, McLouth, Kansas.
Carolyn Clary (Cully), Troy, Kansas.
Jay Horton (Valerie), Fort Worth, Texas.
Grandchildren, Mathew Horton (Catherine), Ashley Thornton (Cody), Brett Clary, Darren Clary (Kristene), Kimberly Lee (Cody), Brittany Clary and Will Horton.
10 Great-grandchildren.
Siblings, Mary Morrison, Helen Hurla (Louis), Larry Walters (Patty), Lyle Walters (Cindy), David Walters (Marsha) and Lela Walters.
Numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside Memorial Service: 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 3, 2026.
At Mount Olive Cemetery, Troy, Kansas.
There is no scheduled visitation.
