Brenda Lunsford, 53, of Verdon, NE, passed away October 18, 2026 at Omaha, NE. She was born April 19, 1973 at Falls City to Patrick and Marguerite (Rhodd) Packett

Brenda was raised in Falls City and graduated from Falls City High School in 1991 and then went on to attend beauty school in Beatrice. She married John Lunsford on April 8, 1993 at Falls City and they established their home in Falls City and she worked various jobs until become employed by the Iowa Tribe in 2004 in the Human Resource department, she later became the head of Human Resources at the Iowa Tribal Health Clinic in 2022. Her biggest joy was being around her grandchildren. She was a member of the Iowa Tribe.

Brenda is survived by her husband, John of Verdon, daughter, Jill Campbell and her husband Levi of Verdon, father, Patrick Packet of Falls City, brother, Patrick Packett of Falls City, three grandchildren and her beloved dog, LeRoy. She was preceded in death by her mother, son, J. D. Lunsford, Jr. and her grandparents

A celebration of life will be held on October 30, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the George Odgen Building.

No viewing or visitation and friends may sign the guest registry at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home during regular business hours.

In Lieu of Flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to the Richardson County Cancer Fund.
