Mary Veon Duncan, 84, of Atchison, KS died on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026, at the Atchison Medicalodge.

Visitation with family will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Friday, Oct. 30th, 2026, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Mary V. Roach was born on Sept. 19, 1942, in Galt, MO, the daughter of Joe and Eula (Taylor) Roach. She graduated from Galt High School in 1960. Mary worked as a clerk for various dry cleaners in the Kansas City, MO area. She was a former member of the Red Bridge Christian Church and Holmeswood Baptist Church, in Kansas City. She enjoyed crocheting, collecting angel figurines, and spending time with the grandchildren.

She was married to Dewey Hunt on March 10, 1963. They were later divorced in 1971. Survivors include daughter Valerie Wilson, Atchison, KS, two sisters Nancy Emberton, Milan, MO, and Sally Roach, Independence, MO, three grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Her parents, daughter Melanie A. Moore, a sister, Patty Roach and a granddaughter Lacey Marie preceded her in death.
