Congratulations Riverside FFA!
Riverside FFA Chapter
Our Ag Communications team composed of Christopher Brooke, Delainie Hundley, Broc Studer, and Lilly Juhl got 1st place as a team. Lilly was 1st overall individual, Delainie was 2nd individually, Broc 7th place, and Christopher 9th place. It was exciting to see all members of the team place in the top 10 individually! This team will be competing at state CDE contest on May 2nd.
On April 6th we had 4 teams compete at the Super CDE Day in Highland. 2 of our teams did exceptionally well.
Caidence Brune, Abbie and Chloe Wattenbarger, and Kaycin Juhl made up our Floriculture team and placed 6th overall. This team will also be competing at the state level on May 1st.
Meah Thacker, Delainie Hundley, Broc Studer, Zoey Hayes, and Kobe Davis competed in the Food Science CDE contest. Overall as a team, they received 6th place. Meah Thacker placed 10th individually. Joining the Ag Communications and Floriculture teams, they will be competing in Manhattan at state CDE contest. Their event will be on May 3rd.
We had a few members compete in certain contests for their first time at Super CDE Day as well. Brooke Kiehnhoff and Hadley Cole tried their hand at Vet Science and did rather well for only 2 members on the team. Braedyn Rupe, Harley Hartman, and Luis Gutierrez competed in Dairy Foods.
Last week, we had a team compete in Farm/Agribusiness Management. Allison Schultz, Delainie Hundley, Brooke Kiehnhoff, Christopher Brooke, Alex Williams, and Lilly Juhl made up the team. They placed 3rd as a team and Lilly Juhl got 5th individually and Brooke Kiehnhoff got 8th.
As we wind down the year, we look forward to competing at State CDE Contest in Manhattan and State Envirothon in Elmdale. The Riverside FFA members have put in lots of extra time studying and preparing for these contests and are excited to see what they can do at the state level! If you see any of them, wish them luck!
