SHERIFF COMMENDS SCHOOL DISTRICT ON SECURITY IMPROVEMENTS

JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO) – Sheriff Tim Morse visited the Royal Valley Board of Education on Monday night in Mayetta. Sheriff Morse presented Superintendent Aaric Davis and the Royal Valley Board of Education with a commendation and an award for recent improvements in school security. Sheriff Morse said, “Tonight, I will tell you that I can’t be any prouder of the Royal Valley School District. Royal Valley has become the model school district for Jackson County when it comes to school security. Royal Valley has made significant and crucial improvements to policy, training and infrastructure. Royal Valley has taken every single security recommendation that was made by this agency and implemented it. You (Royal Valley) have gone even further and took vital steps in improving the district’s safety.” Sheriff Morse said “ So tonight, I am here to commend your extraordinary leadership in making these great achievements possible I commend this great board of education and Superintendent Aaric Davis, who have realized in today’s world that school security can’t be left out when district decisions are made. It is my hope, that other districts will take note of your accomplishments and will further strengthen their facilities.”
