The  Nemaha Central Thunder Thespians took 1st place at Sabetha tournament January 28th at the 2023 season opener. 

Medalists were: Dylann Grauer, 1st, POI; Dylann Grauer and Natalie Felder, 2nd, duet; Olivia Ganstrom, 2nd, humorous; Samantha Holthaus, 3rd, humorous; Bob Langill, 3rd, informative; Jayden Seitz, 3rd, POI; Alayna Scism, 4th, poetry and 5th oration; Natalie Felder, 4th, serious solo; Kyndall Sextro and Samantha Holthaus, 4th, IDA: Olivia Ganstrom, 4th, POI; Lilly Schultejans, 4th, extemp and 5th, poetry; Kathryn Yunghans and Jayden Seitz, 5th, duet; and Elena Gonzalez, 6th, serious solo.
