Life is not a race. There's no gold medal for beating yourself up or being critical of yourself. You are the best you that you can be right here, right now, and you don't owe anybody anything different. If you see areas where you can work to improve your health, your well-being, your organization, or whatever you think needs to change... Great! Make a plan. Stoke that inner fire. Be the change you want to see. But do it for yourself. Other people's opinions, expectations, demands, etc. don't matter. But what you can do for yourself to feel better, think more clearly, process emotions easier, those things? Absolutely worth it. Which tracks, because YOU are worth it. You are worthy of all the love and support, all the understanding and compassion, all the grace and forgiveness that you have poured into others. So give it to yourself first, and let it overflow from you to others rather than try and pour out of an empty cup.
