Stanley E. Wohlgemuth,   of Atchison, KS passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday June 25, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, MO.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday June 28, 2014 at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, with Rev. Lee Hendon officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, Atchison KS.  Family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Friday June 27, 2014

Stan was born September 22, 1956 in Atchison KS the son of Melvin and Nora Jean (Winzer) Wohlgemuth. He graduated from Atchison High School in 1974.  Stan worked for the COOP for several years before getting injured.  Stan started a wood working business building sheds and wood crafts.  He also worked at Medicalodge Atchison at first in the maintenance department, and then transportation and he recently completed his training to be a CNA.  Stan was a people person, and loved by many. He liked to fix and build cars and a love of animals.  He was a member of the First Christian Church, Atchison.

Survivors include his mother, Nora Jean Wohlgemuth, Atchison KS, two sons; Jeremiah Wohlgemuth Carnes,  Derby, KS, Kaleb Wohlgemuth, Topeka, KS, two daughters; Amanda Wohlgemuth, Derby, KS, Cassidy (Curtis) Kipple, Atchison, KS, three sisters; Beth (Donald) Hawk, Atchison KS, Joanie (Rick) Abel, Nortonville, KS, Jeanne (Larry) Pickman, Horton KS and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and a son Christopher Wohlgemuth.
