1: Morrill Public Library - Hiawatha
Storytime at 10:00 a.m. Stories, crafts, and more for kids age 3 and up.
2: Morrill Public Library Summer Reading
The Morrill Public Library will hold a summer reading kick off party on Thursday, May 23rd from 3:00 to 6:00PM for readers of all ages. Drop in for the kick off party for refreshments and a craft. It’s also scrabble night starting at 6:00PM. Bring your scrabble board if you have one.
3: Frankfort American Red Cross Blood Drive
There will be an American Red Cross blood drive in Frankfort on Thursday, May 23rd from 12:00 to 6:00PM at the Cigna Center located at 402 North Maple Street in Frankfort. For more information go to redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED-CROSS. Give blood, save a life.
4: Seneca Garage Sales Sign-up
The Seneca City wide garage sales will be held on Friday, May 31st and Saturday, June 1st. Bring your garage sale description and $7 fee to the Seneca Chamber/SDI office no later than Thursday, May 23rd. Maps will be available May 24th at several local businesses and the Chamber/SDI office.
5: Atchison Community Blood Drive
The Community Blood Center is holding a Blood Drive today from 12:30 p.m. til 6:00 p.m., located in the First Baptist Church, 1640 Riley Street in Atchison. Register to donate blood and receive a Buy-One-Get-One-Free single-day admission from Schlitterbahn Waterparks.
6: Summer Lunch Program Training-Falls City
Want to volunteer for a good cause? The Free Summer Lunch Program for Kids is looking for people to help 1-2 hours a week. Training is at 7 PM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 20th and Towle in Falls City. For more information call 402-245-3828 in the mornings.
7: Volunteer Ambulance Squad Open House-FC
6-8pm, The Falls City Volunteer Ambulance Squad will be celebrating an open house on Thursday, April 23rd at the EMS Building at 18th & Towle. There will be an ambulance tour, presentations for childred, fun activities, and extrication demonstrations. Fun for the Entire Family.
8: Horton Public Library
The Horton Public Library is kicking off their Summer Reading program this week with signup for a month of activities! With something different to do every week, and a final party on June 25, it's a great way to have fun and enjoy reading during the summer!
9: Everest Public Library
Summer hours have begun at the Barnes Reading Room-Everest Public Library. Monday - Noon to 6:00pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9:00am to Noon.
