Doris Irene (Stone) Sowders, 82, passed away on June 29, 2014.

Doris was born in Horton KS on June 16, 1932 to Wiley and Arlie (Hallauer) Stone. She married Warren Harding “Shorty” Sowders on July 4, 1958. He preceded her in death on July 17, 2004. Doris was a member of First Christian Church in Horton.

Doris is survived by her three children; Michael (Tina) Sowders, Jo Ellen Roberts and Mark Sowders; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all.

Doris will lie in state from 1 to 4 Wednesday at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. Funeral services will be held1 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Horton Cemetery in Horton KS.
