Carl " Woody" Robbins

Carl F. “Woody” Robbins, 74, of Soldier, KS passed away July 2, 2014 at his home. He was born June 9, 1940 in Holton, KS the son of Carl A. and Gladys L. (Graves) Robbins.
Woody graduated from Havensville High School in 1958. He was a farmer and stockman. He had also worked for Jeffrey Energy Center as a welder and was an auto-mechanic. Woody was a band member, bass guitar player and singer for 49 years, including the band The Mavericks.
He is survived by 4 sons, Kevin Robbins of Holton, Tracy Robbins (Terri) of Circleville, Todd Robbins of Holton and Terry Robbins (Carolyn) of Oskaloosa and 8 grandchildren, Cody and Kasie Robbins, Jordan, Sarah and Brittany Robbins, Alex and Garrett Robbins and Gabriel Robbins.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Dean Robbins.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Private family inurnment will be at a later date in Holton Cemetery.
