Carol U. Beatty, age 85 of Omaha (formerly Peru), passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Alegent Immanuel Fontanelle House in Omaha.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Anna; children: Charles (Verissa) Beatty of Northglenn, CO, Julie (Brad) Lockhart of Pinetop, AZ , Joann (Pat) Dunn of Brownville, NE, Theresa (Kyle) Kriesel of Hastings, MN; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren;  sister Lois Eller of Simi Valley, CA;  brother and sister-in-law Cecil and Kathryn Beatty of Tucson, AZ.

A funeral service will be Tuesday, July 8, 2:00 p.m. at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn.  Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Peru, with graveside military honors.  Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends 5:00 to 7:00.  Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
